What is the recovery process like?

- Day of Procedure: Surgery time for liposuction alone varies depending on the number of areas involved. After the procedure, you will be given pain medication to go home and a compression garment will be put in place.
- Second Day: You will be seen in the office, and your dressings will be changed. Dr. Mushin will check-in with you to ensure that any questions you have about your liposuction surgery have been answered.
- First Week: Keep binder or compression garment on throughout the week and be light with your activities.
- Subsequent Weeks: As swelling goes down, your form will continue to improve and take shape. It’s not uncommon for our patients to return to their work at the end of the second week, although this can vary from patient to patient. We advise against strenuous activity for four to six weeks.
